Wobbly Mirrors

Occasionally, an RVer will be driving down the road in his motorhome and suddenly notice that one or both of his side-view mirrors are shaking or wobbling so badly that it is difficult to see anything clearly.

This problem is usually caused by the mirror becoming loose from its mounting, usually the pivot bolt—not the bolts that hold the mirror assembly to the side of the motorhome.

All that is needed to cure this problem is the proper sized allen wrench (which several RV manufacturers include with their document package).

Usually, just snugging up the allen-head bolt (usually on the bottom of the mirror housing) will cure the problem.

Be sure that you don't tighten the bolt so tightly that the mirror frame can't be moved if you need to change the adjustment. That's all there is to it.
